Last week we took Anna for her first fishing trip. It was a little windy and chilly so Anna and I spent most of the time in the car while Charlie tried to catch fish with our nieces and nephews. They didn't have any luck, but it was still fun to get out of the house.

Life has been good lately. Anna is a great little baby and so much fun! The weather is starting to get so nice and the flowers are blooming. We have two almond trees and the flowers on them smell so good! Charlie and I like to try to get outside every day. Sometimes it is just in the yard or on a walk in the neighborhood, but it is always fun.
We also have a dwarf peach tree that we planted last year. It is so tiny, I am surprised it lasted through the winter. It has pretty pink flowers blooming on it.
And another pretty thing is our little Anna! She is 7 weeks as of Thursday. She is getting big way too fast! She has almost outgrown her newborn clothes and newborn diapers. At church on Sunday she had a big blowout all over her pretty dress- good thing I had a backup outfit!
The two pictures above are her 7 week pictures that I took. She had a blowout on that pretty outfit too!

I found these pictures saved in a draft. I guess I was going to post them but I never did. These were taken back in July, I was about 13 weeks pregnant. These pictures make me laugh! I remember thinking I had a little baby bump, but I was probably just bloated!
Here is the last picture I took before I had Anna. It was a week before she was born.
Now that is a bump!

It has been such a long time since I have written on here. A lot has happened! We had our baby. She is so sweet and we love her so much. Her name is Anna Juliette. She is one month old already. Time goes by so quickly!
The pictures above were taken when she was just a newborn. I feel like she has grown so much already!
We took her to church for the first time on Sunday and she did great. She slept the whole time. She is a pretty good baby. She sleeps for a long time at night but will not sleep in her bassinet.
We also finished some more home upgrades. We finally got rid of our orange shag carpet. Yay! We really wanted to have clean carpet for our little Anna to crawl around on. Next we want to get baseboards and paint our kitchen cabinets but we will see how that goes with Anna around.

A lot has happened since I last posted. For those who don't know Charlie and I are expecting a baby girl in January! We are so excited and can't wait. Sometimes it feels like the months drag on and on... but then I look back and can't believe I am already 25 weeks. I only have 16 weeks to go!
I have been feeling great! I had a little bit of morning sickness during the first trimester, but it wasn't too bad. I bought a pair of maternity jeans and they are my best friend. I have also been a crocheting fool! I went to the all mighty and powerful youtube to learn how to knit last year when I got my wisdom teeth out. This year I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet. My first project was a baby blanket and then I made a bunch of hats!
Baby hats for our baby! I like to crochet hats because they are so quick and I can get them done in a day.
This is the blanket I crocheted.
Charlie and I have been doing a lot of home updates (well Charlie has). We had popcorn ceilings and Charlie scraped them off and then textured them. I gave him glasses of water and told him how awesome he was doing. We also painted our kitchen and living room walls white. And my amazing mother came down and painted our nursery blue for us! It looks so cute. We hope to get the rest of our house painted soon and then we plan on laying some wood-looking floor and getting new carpet. I can't wait to say goodbye to our ugly orange 70's carpet! I hope we can get everything done before our baby gets here. That is my goal.
That is my belly today. I feel like it is huge, I can't imagine it getting any bigger. Under my barely visible feet is our orange carpet. It look orangey-er in real life.
I haven't been very good about taking weekly baby bump pictures and I am a little behind. But here is one from 20 weeks.
This is the last one I took. I need to catch up!
In other non-baby related news, Charlie got his real estate license! So anyone looking to buy our sell a house give him a call. And feel free to refer your friends to him too. ;)
Isn't he handsome?

I grew something! I grew something! I grew a radish! Charlie and I have a little garden we are doing out best to help nourish. I am not so good at the nourishing. I might have accidentally left the water on in the garden the other day when we went to Costco, and sometimes, maybe, I forget to water the garden... BUT despite all my gardening challenges, we grew a RADISH!
When we planted the garden we didn't put any markers to help us remember where we planted what. We thought our radishes were lettuce. Before you think we are too silly, just know this is our first garden. Anyway, today Charlie's sister came over for a minute and told us our lettuce wasn't lettuce. She said it was radishes and there was one that looked ready to harvest. So we harvested our little hearts out, kind of, we just got one. There was only one ready. Then we ate it! I don't really like radishes, but it did taste better than a normal radish because we grew it in our own garden! I love our little radish.
